As a tween, I dove headfirst into Twitter fandoms, creating a One Direction fan account that quickly grew into a way for me to engage with thousands of people across the globe. What began as a hobby, soon became an obsession with understanding how to get more likes and retweets and how to build a following that was engaging with me consistently. Managing those accounts gave me a lesson in social media management long before I even knew that was a job I could pursue.
These experiences naturally led to a career in social media and content creation, where the skills I learned—understanding algorithms, creating shareable content and building engaged communities—translated seamlessly. Today, I bring the same passion, creativity and community building mindset to my work. Every day I apply the lessons I learned at 13 to build meaningful relationships, engage audiences, and drive long-term growth for brands.
In many ways, I truly owe it all to my 13-year-old self. And now, I’ve taken myself from a fan to a pro.
